Clicks From Active Campaigns
Crypto casino advertising is one of the most restricted verticals in paid media. We built a scalable Google Ads system in Indonesia — over 1 million impressions, 81,500+ clicks, and a resilient engine that kept growing through constant campaign rotation.
ICODA served as the iGaming PPC agency behind a Google Ads campaign built to generate large-scale player traffic for a crypto casino in Indonesia — one of the most competitive and heavily restricted advertising verticals in paid media. Instead of relying on a single channel, we combined high-volume Display scaling with intent-driven Search campaigns, and instead of depending on one stable campaign, we built a system designed for constant testing and rotation. The result: 1.01M+ impressions, 81.5K+ clicks, and an 8% overall CTR in one target market.
Crypto casino advertising sits inside one of the most heavily restricted verticals in Google Ads. Gambling-related campaigns face tighter policy scrutiny, inconsistent approval outcomes, and a higher likelihood of individual campaigns being limited or paused mid-flight. In this environment, scaling traffic isn’t a matter of simply raising budgets — it requires continuous testing, fast iteration, and the ability to redirect spend the moment a campaign underperforms or gets restricted.
Build a Google Ads system capable of generating hundreds of thousands of impressions and tens of thousands of clicks for a crypto casino, despite tight advertising restrictions on gambling content.
Prove that Google Display Ads could generate substantial click volume at scale, functioning as a genuine user acquisition channel rather than only a branding layer.
Layer Search campaigns onto Display to capture users actively searching for gambling, casino, and entertainment platforms in the target market.
Build a testing-and-rotation process that continuously identifies, scales, and replaces campaigns based on performance, instead of depending on a single account structure.
Google Display became the primary engine for traffic volume, generating more than 1 million impressions and approximately 81,000 clicks across the campaign set for a crypto casino in Indonesia. Instead of relying exclusively on higher-cost Search traffic, we launched multiple Display campaigns, tested different configurations, and scaled the setups capable of generating the largest number of clicks.
Several individual campaigns demonstrated how aggressively Display traffic could scale in this niche:
| Campaign | Impressions | Clicks |
|---|---|---|
| Top-performing campaign | 320,556 | 19,238 |
| Second-strongest campaign | 140,815 | 18,959 |
| Additional Display campaigns | — | 11,000+ / 9,000+ / 5,000+ each |
The table shows that scale in this vertical wasn’t concentrated in a single lucky campaign — several independent configurations each produced five-figure click volumes.
✔️ Launched multiple Display campaign variants
✔️ Tested creative and targeting configurations
✔️ Scaled the configurations generating the highest click volume
✔️ Continuously monitored impression-to-click conversion
The objective was never simply to maximize reach. We continuously looked for campaign configurations that could convert impressions into substantial, sustained traffic volume — proving Display could function as a true user acquisition channel for a crypto casino, not just a branding tool.
Search campaigns added an intent-driven acquisition layer, reaching users already searching for gambling, casino, and entertainment platforms, and generating 12,332 impressions, 1,089 clicks, and an 8.83% CTR at a $3.11 average CPC. While Display delivered scale, Search let us reach demand that was already active in the market.
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Impressions | 12,332 |
| Clicks | 1,089 |
| CTR | 8.83% |
| Avg. CPC | $3.11 |
Several high-volume keywords achieved particularly strong engagement, with individual keyword groups reaching CTRs of 13.44%, 16.59%, 10.84%, and 11.61% — well above typical benchmarks for gambling-adjacent Search terms, and clear evidence of active user intent within the niche.

❗ The main idea? Display for scale. Search for intent. Two acquisition mechanisms in one Google Ads account, built to cover both reach and demand simultaneously.
Because crypto gambling is a restricted advertising niche where campaign stability can’t be assumed, the acquisition strategy was built around continuous testing and rotation rather than dependence on any single campaign. We launched multiple campaign iterations, analyzed traffic performance, stopped weaker setups, and redirected budget toward campaigns capable of generating stronger volume.
At one snapshot point in the campaign, two campaigns that remained active had already generated 210,879 impressions and 24,253 clicks — with the strongest active campaign alone delivering 140,815 impressions and 18,959 clicks. This demonstrated that the acquisition model could keep producing substantial volume even after multiple earlier iterations had been stopped or restricted, which is the core resilience test for any campaign running in this vertical.

Instead of distributing budget evenly, we prioritized campaigns showing the strongest combination of traffic volume, click-through rate, cost efficiency, and ability to keep scaling. Campaigns producing only limited traffic were deprioritized, while campaigns capable of generating thousands or tens of thousands of clicks received more attention and budget. This moved the account from small campaign tests to a repeatable traffic acquisition system:
Launch → Measure → Identify Winners → Scale → Rotate → Repeat.
Across the full campaign report, the Google Ads system generated the following results for a crypto casino targeting Indonesia. The numbers below reflect the combined output of Display scaling, Search intent-capture, and continuous campaign rotation described above.
| KPI | Result |
|---|---|
| Impressions | 1.01M+ |
| Clicks | 81.5K+ |
| Overall CTR | ~8.0% |
| Clicks From Active Campaigns | 24K+ |
| Top Display Campaign | 320,556 impressions / 19,238 clicks |
| Search CTR | 8.83% |
| Search Avg. CPC | $3.11 |
Beyond the headline totals, the table underscores a structural point: performance wasn’t dependent on a single campaign staying alive. Even accounting for earlier iterations that were stopped or restricted, the two campaigns still active at the time of reporting had already produced more than 24,000 clicks on their own.

❌ Before: No scalable acquisition channel for a highly competitive, heavily restricted gambling advertising vertical — where campaign approvals are inconsistent and individual campaigns can be limited or paused without warning.
✅ After: A repeatable Google Ads system generating 1.01M+ impressions, 81.5K+ clicks, and an ~8.0% overall CTR, with 24K+ clicks coming from campaigns still active at the time of reporting.
In one target market, ICODA’s iGaming PPC agency work took a crypto casino from small campaign tests to a Google Ads system generating 1.01M+ impressions and 81,500+ clicks, combining Display-led scale with Search-led intent and continuous campaign rotation to sustain performance in a restricted advertising vertical.
The same Launch → Measure → Identify Winners → Scale → Rotate → Repeat framework is now positioned to extend into new markets and additional campaign types as the account grows.
